3-STEP CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION APPROACH
At Standard, we recognize that we must do our best to assist with the complex issue of climate change. Standard uses a 3 step approach in all our daily operations especially when educing our environmental impact, developing new MWD technologies and when providing our drilling services.
Step 1 : Reduce
Standard strives to reduce environmental impact by reducing energy consumption while increasing energy efficiency. We use less wherever and whenever possible.
Step 2 : Switch to green
We select environmentally lower-impact alternatives by switching to green.
By switching to green products and services we reduce our impact on the environment and play an important role in transforming our industry.
Standard innovates new ways to reduce emissions.
Step 3 : Offset
Environmental advisors promote offsets to address only those emissions that cannot be avoided through conservation or through switching to a more environmentally friendly alternative. Standard only uses offsets as a last resort when efforts to conserve and choose green have been exhausted.
